Topaz gigapixel ai requirements6/19/2023 ![]() The third button in the resize mode area is ’Height’, so you can choose the output height and it will again keep the aspect ratio the same. Below that you can choose the number of pixels per unit, so 300 or more for high-quality printing, 72/96 to 144 for web use or whatever your particular need is. It will automatically keep the aspect ratio the same. If you click on the second button ‘Width’, here you can choose output width, in pixels inches or centimetres. Once you’ve opened an image, the first control you’re presented with is ‘Scale’ and if you click on that, you have all the different sizes 0.5, 2X, 4X, 6X or custom, where you can choose between 0.2 and 5.31 times your original image size. While the results are not quite as exciting and impressive as you are about to see, it does offer some image enhancements (lower noise, sharpening, detail enhancement) even at that amount of enlargement. Also, it will do enlargements as small as a 1.20 magnification of the original. Doing this will keep the image small and manageable for most of your editing. That’s perhaps not as much of an issue with modern computers, however, we would suggest doing the enlarging further on down the workflow, perhaps as the final output before printing, and so on. That may not be the best workflow, however, because if you resize it first, then do the rest of your editing procedures, you’ll be working with very large files and the attendant cost in processing speed and storage space. In our case, we imported a DNG file from our Pentax K3 II and it resized it very well. You can import a wide variety of images including TIFFS, JPEG‘s, and all the other common formats, but surprisingly you can even process raw images. So if your workflow includes Photoshop or the like, you may want to use it as a plugin and take advantage of the convenience that that offers. We are using the software in the stand alone format here, but it’s pretty much the same as a plug-in within the larger photo editing suites.
